Our visit to Ali’s family May 5, 2012

Ali is a serious boy of 19 who has lost his left leg and left hip in the war between Fatah and Hamas three years ago. He sits at home and wondering what his future will be. His father has sever heart complications sapping all his energy. Ali is their main concern now as soon after the war Ali was one of the many wounded who went to Turkey for medical help.

A plate was put in and now needs to be removed. The family has no resources to pay for the operation to remove the plate, yet the government will pay for the surgery and now he needs money to cover the transportation to Egypt or to the West Bank to have the plate removed. This we will provide. This young man would like to have prostheses so that he can walk allowing him to find work and to be an active part of society. A prophesies would be very costly as he would have to have a very special as it would begin at the waist since his hip is gone. I will enclose a picture of Ali (not his real name) in hopes that any of you reading our web site may be able to donate something toward Ali’s dream to walk.
